Most Beautiful Places In The United States

As written in another forum

My personal top ten, in no particular order:

  1. Texas Hill Country in spring (Bluebonnets Galore!)
  2. Sonoita, Arizona in mid-summer when the grass rolls on forever
  3. Mt. Ranier, Washington has to be experienced, not just seen
  4. The Blue Ridge Parkway should be driven from end-to-end
  5. The Outer Banks (Okracoke Island) during a storm
  6. The North Shore of Lake Superior/Split Rock Light (summer ONLY!)
  7. Grand Tetons/Yellowstone National Parks before the crowds
  8. Chisos Mountains/Big Bend National Park: pictures do not do it justice
  9. Camden, Maine/Maine Coast get me in touch with my seafaring side
  10. Beaufort, South Carolina offers antbellum mansions and good fishing - what a combination!
I have about 1,000 more, but those are my first 10....
