News Of The World

Sitting in bed, having my coffee this morning, Diane asked what was going on in the Big, Wide World - so I turned to the BBC for answers:

Today, it seems that the Paris riots lessened in intensity - although I had wondered how long the French protesters could keep up the pace... there would have been no cars left at the rate they were going....

The Chinese are worried about Islamic terrorists blowing up hotels. First France, with there rioting youth and now Beijing has to deal with Islamic terrorists.... It seems the world is turning into one, large United States (and not for the better)

Venus Express launched from Russia aboard a Soyuz lifting rocket... which probably had European Space Agency folks sweating a little since the last Russian liftoff didn't go so well. Hey, there is always insurance!

And last, but certainly not least, Drunken Elks (no not the Benevolant Protectorate of Elks - real Elks) terrorized an old couple in Sweden.... What is the world coming to?!?!
