Today In History

Today is one of those days that just has a culmination of "things"from history....

Wow...November 10th....let's see:

  1. Rutger's University was founded as Queen's College - New Jersey has never been the same since.
  2. How can I forget, the Marine Corps Birthday is today...230 Years of Leathernecks
  3. "Dr. Livingstone, I presume?" Stanley finds Livingstone in Tanzania, near Lake Tanganyika, the source of the Nile - which is what Livingstone was looking for all along...the world found the most misunderstood quote....
  4. Sesame Street makes its debut....The world meets Kermit the Frog for the first time....and the world is better because of it.
  5. The Edmund Fitzgerald sinks off of Whitefish Bay...."The Legend Lives On From The Chippewa On Down Of The Big Lake They Call Gitche Gumee"
  6. Birthdate of Martin Luther....he gets pissed at the Pope and we get the Baptists....doesn't seem right now does it?

What a combination! Only on this date...now at 11:11AM on the 11th Day of the 11th Month....no you have to wait until tomorrow to find out how that story ends!
