There Is No God
Diane and I just watched Eraserhead. This is 90 minutes of my life that I want back.
All of you pretentious artsy-fartsy types who want to tell me how much I missed, or how I just don't "get" it, or... whatever... can just silence yourselves. I thought David Lynch sucked after Twin Peaks... and now I know that he sucked from Day 1.
You atheists want proof that there is no God: David Lynch gets paid for making his movies - and people rave over them - thus there can be no just Higher Power. Those facts just depress me.

I really liked Twin Peaks first season, and I thought Blue Velvet was great. The point of Lynch's movies is almost never the story. The setting's always the main character and the real "story" is the way the setting affects you while you're viewing the movie. The only movie he ever made where he concentrated on story was "The Straight Story," and that is pretty great, as well.
So the real story is how much you want to get up and leave but you don't because you don't want to be rude huh? Ok I get it! Thanks for clearing that one up for me...
