Another Day, Another Dollar
Here it is, Monday again. I am back at work trying to make the Army a better place.
I was just outside watching the young troops marching from breakfast to class (Advanced Infantry Training). Each time I see these children (and they are children) marching around in BDUs (Battle Dress Uniform), I am reminded that all kids these days are not total slackers. It does give you a good feeling to know that every kid under the age of 25 is not stoned and listening to crappy music, blaring out of the car next to you. There are some - admittedly a very few - who have taken on the mantle of responsibility to preserve the nation that I love.
Their youthful enthusiasm gives me hope that we are not all heading to hell in a handbasket.
Thanks, a grateful nation appreciates your service.
