This Morning's "Did You Know"
Prompted by Diane's assertion that "Red licorice is not licorice", I made a little investigation. It seems that licorice is neither the black or red variety; it is a root that is ground or chewed. It can be made into what we Americans call "licorice", but it has many other applications: remedy for colds/flu, laxative, arthritis remedy and the list goes on and on...
So, Diane was right, red licorice is not Licorice per se. But then again, neither is black licorice... so we are both right... and both wrong... as it is in most things...
This concludes today's "Did You Know". You are now free to go about your daily routine.

For most people I think it might be more 'do you care'... but *I* do so I'm glad you looked it up :)
