Sadly, Everyone Let Her Down
This poor girl in Massachusetts.
Admittedly, I don't know all of the facts surrounding the case, but it sure seems like someone dropped the ball.
Then, you put the power of life and death in the hands of the guy who is accused of beating her with a baseball bat. Now that makes sense.
Fortunately, there is intelligent life out there. The Mass Supreme Court ruled that it would be "'unthinkable' to give such power to a man who has been charged in the girl's beating."
Auntie and Grandma are dead from a murder-suicide when the cops were starting to look at them for child abuse. Mom (remember Mom? oh, no Mom's not dead, just strung out) she said something to the effect of "I love my baby!" Ummm, sure... whatever.
I truly feel sorry for this girl. However I am not sure if, considering her genetic makeup, she wasn't brain dead from birth.
Via con Dios.

He said social workers visited the home every week and were convinced that the girl's injuries were self-inflicted. Then when the girl's unconscious body arrived at the hospital, they realized the adoptive mother had lied to them.Wow, you know...they never do that, do they?

Strickland had fought to keep the girl on life support and to be designated a "de facto" parent who should have a say in her care.Isn't it touching to see that this guy is so concerned with her welfare? Maybe he had a change of heart. Or maybe, just maybe... the guy is trying to beat the murder charge that will be coming if the girl dies.
