If the rules were only applied evenly

"Normal People" - that means you and me - who have government security clearances have to worry about being late on the Visa payment, not reporting your trip to Mexico...hiccupping wrong....every little thing can be grounds for a termination of your clearance. These rules do not apply evenly it seems.

I know of one person who blew up a meth lab in her house....and got her clearance renewed AFTER that little problem....Karl Rove released classified information and it is "up in the air" as to whether or not he gets his clearance revoked?!?!?!....and yet I know a guy who is struggling with the DoD on his clearance because he had some medical bills that went unpaid....

It seems that being a risk to the government has more to do with demographics than reality...but then again....this is the US government here....so all bets are off!
