Deceptive Journalism
I was reading the Reuters "Oddly Enough" area for a little post-coffee amusement when I found an article that was not so amusing. I have been following the investigation of the US soldiers who burned two Taliban fighter's bodies and I saw the headline, "Two US soldiers charged with Afghan prisoner abuse". Sure, I thought that this would have been a report of a finding in the case.
Nope...
They spent one paragraph to explain that two soldiers had been found guilty of punching an Afghan soldier and the rest of the article talking about the body burning incident - to which they mentioned in passing that no finding had been released. It seems that Reuters may have an agenda to support here...
I give Reuters a big "Booo!" on this one....linking the two stories for effect is just bad journalism.
